WHO Expert Was Invited by WestVac Biopharma to Visit＆Guide Related Work

From September 7 to 8, 2021, Dr. TANG Yi, an official of the WHO Representative Office in China, was invited by WestVac BioPharma Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "WestVac Biopharma") to come to WestVac Biopharma to guide the application for WHO Emergency Use List (EUL) authorization of COVID-19 vaccine and preparation of corresponding files and on-site inspection.
During the two-day conference, Academician WEI Yuquan, Chairman of WestVac Biopharma, comprehensively introduced to Dr. Tang the R＆D progress of WestVac Biopharma COVID-19 vaccine and the construction situation of manufacture workshops, hoping to get the guidance of WHO and obtain authorization of the WHO EUL as soon as possible, to provide high-quality vaccine products and services for the global fight against COVID-19.
Once understanding the development status of WestVac Biopharma, Dr. Tang did a targeted introduction on the application and approval process of the authorization of the WHO EUL, and had detailed exchanges with relevant department personnel on WestVac Biopharma Self-Evaluation Report and Gap Analysis. At the same time, the application schedule for WestVac Biopharma's submission of authorization of the WHO EUL was discussed, and constructive comments on development of the WestVac Biopharma were raised.
